The Denim Jacket

The DENIM jacket is the most versatile item a person can own.  It can be dressed up or down and is universally flattering on EVERYONE... I'm definitely an owner of several denim jackets: white, blazer and utility along with the classic seen below.  There's something about denim - jackets imparticular- that makes me go crazy... in love that is!

Just A Quickie {Dekalb Market}

Over the past weekend, I visited the Dekalb Market in Brooklyn for the first time... Being lazy, I didn't take my camera with me so I had to rely on my iPhone... and being preoccupied with my friends I only snapped two photos... I know I suck... but I totally promise to get better photos when I go back!! *wink wink* but for now - here's what I wore:

Only if there were two of me...

One thing I'm sure many of you have noticed - I wear a lot of black.  It's one color I feel most comfortable in - although many of my friends swear I love to walk around looking like a bag of skittles.  I'll admit, I love to wear color and mix patterns but on any given day - black {and denim} will always have my heart... it's sexy and confident... and after all it is all about feeling good... right? 

On The Grind

I must admit, I haven't been very good about posting new jewelry on my blog or etsy shop. Motivation to create comes and goes for me and for a while I was very un-inspired - but recently - for whatever reason, I've been working everyday to bring new items to those who like or even love Emijaa Jaaemil Jewelry... so with that said - here is a sneak peek at what I've been working on... if you follow me on Instagram, I'm sure you've seen some of the newbies but in case you haven't... here's what my hands have been diligently working on...

Denim and Paisley

I've never really been a fan of paisley but after thrifting this dress - I think I kind of love the print... mixed with a little denim and a pair of my favorite heels - instant cool!!

Against the Wall...

I fell in love with this blue blazer from H&M but after introducing it to the rest of my clothing, I realized it's a very awkward color.  It took me a while to actually wear it but I'm happy I did - the fit and structure is great... Can't wait to see how I can work this into regular rotation.
